Family planning reduces the newborn mortality rates, allows time for the mother to recover from the physical and psychological stress of pregnancy, and ensures a better quality of life for the family.
To spread awareness about family planning, IHAO has delivered informative brochures to directorates of health in the governorates of Kirkuk, Anbar, Al-Muthanna, and Basra. In addition, IHAO mobile teams in the centers of excellence for reproductive health and family planning in the governorates of Basra and Kirkuk are actively and directly reaching beneficiaries with family planning awareness raising.
