People with disabilities in Iraq face many challenges in accessing healthcare services, in Iraq, the years of war have led to increased numbers of people living with disabilities, now estimated to be around 2 million people.
With support from UNFPA, and funding from Canada and ECHO, Salih Al-Shabkhoon Center for persons with disability in Ninewa aims to ameliorate these challenges and help meet the reproductive healthcare needs of women with disabilities by providing a specifically trained medical staff to treat the various conditions of women with disabilities.
