Iraq Health Access Organization – IHAO participates in a Multi-cluster Needs Assessment (MCNA) in Iraq, facilitated by the inter-agency IMPACT initiative, REACH, and in partnership with OCHA for coordination and inter-cluster platforms, funded by European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Assistance Operations (ECHO) and the Office of Humanitarian Affairs of the United Nations. For the US Agency for International Development (BHA).
It is being conducted in all governorates of Iraq to collect data to provide an evidence base of the multi-sectoral needs of IDPs within camps, IDP families, and returnees across Iraq. From which the statistically representative data will serve as a key evidence base for the 2022 Humanitarian Needs Review (HNO) in Iraq.
IHAO collected information from Muqdadiya in Diyala Governorate and Hawija in Kirkuk Governorate, the assessment covered various areas of Health, Food Security, Shelter, WASH, and Livelihood, etc.
This assessment and data collecting will continue in June and July, and this data will be analyzed for reports that will be used to develop appropriate plans to support the needs of these areas through the guidance of humanitarian organizations for the year 2022.
