Peace within the community is a goal, a reason for celebration and gathering, despite our diverse backgrounds. Peace within community can’t be achieved without the presence of a family, whose members feel safe and at peace.
One of IHAO’s priorities is preventing GBV. Participation in the International Peace Festival held by the Baytuna Foundation for Culture, Arts and Heritage in Hamdania – Nineveh. Along with many different organizations and agencies with shared visions. In order to spread awareness on the comprehensive services in Al-Qudis OSAC Center, supported by the UNFPA – Iraq, and funded by KOICA. The center’s team spoke with the festival attendees about the services provided, which include gender-based violence prevention, legal aid, psychological support, and reproductive healthcare services.
