Yesterday, IHAO visited the Iraqi Ministry of Environment. During the meeting, the Minister of Environment spoke about a range of important topics related to environmental issues, including the impacts on food and economic supplies, desertification, alternative energy, and national security. One of the main outcomes of the meeting was the importance of engaging youth and civil society in efforts to address environmental challenges. The Minister stressed the critical role these groups can play in shaping positive change, and expressed a strong commitment to working with them in the months and years ahead.
