Speech and language disorders are among the most frequent developmental issues in children. It is estimated that 5% – 8% of children have issues with speech and/or language.
Yesterday, Iraq health Access Organization, supported by Iraqi Children Foundation, conducted a speech therapy session for a group of young girls at Al-Qawsyiat Center for Adolescent Girls. It appeared that some of the girls speak very quickly without leaving any space between phrases and sentences, and the repeated speech therapy will eventually help these girls in overcoming this issue.
