UNFPA representative to Iraq, Dr. Rita Columbia, visits Salih Al-Shabkhoon Centre for People with disability with the UNFPA delegation. The delegation observed the service provision in the centre, and met with IHAO administration, where the two parties emphasized the importance of making reproductive healthcare services accessible to people with disability.
IHAO, supported by UNFPA-Iraq, has started providing its services in Salih Al-Shabkhoon to people with disability back in mid-2020, including reproductive healthcare services, physiotherapy and psychosocial support, serving as IHAO’s prototype for PWD centres.
