Since the start of the disability project in collaboration with The Children’s Village in New York. Together, we’ve grown and achieved success in 3 different centers which are now accessible for people with disability. These centers also provide a safe space and private consultation, which gives PWDs agency over their healthcare decisions.
Al-Wehda Center received positive responses from the people of Anbar, as well as the Department of Health and other NGOs. The center provides care to children and adults with different types of disability, access to wheelchairs, physical therapy, hygiene kits, and supplies aimed to help persons with disability inside and outside the center. Additionally, the center refers beneficiaries to national and international organizations providing aid in order to maximize their benefit.
