After the continuous efforts made by Iraq Health Access Organization’s teams and with direct cooperation with the Anbar Health Department to increase health awareness and education on COVID-19 vaccines in rural areas. A major campaign was implemented to vaccinate beneficiaries in the communities of areas located on the outskirts of Ramadi (Al-Tash The first, second, and third areas, Western Ankour near Al-Rahaliya, Al-Shiraa’ area and Al-Asriya village) after educating them about the vaccine. Thanks to the team, 317 people were vaccinated in one day, and they thanked the team’s efforts in raising their awareness and correcting their misinformation.
This campaign was implemented in partnership with UNFPA, funded by ECHO, and in coordination with the Anbar Health Department. Hygiene kits (containing a mask and wipes) were distributed during this activity to urge everyone to prevent the spread of COVID-19 even after taking the vaccine.
