While the world tackles the new variant of COVID-19, which spreads much more readily than the previous variants, the risk of severe infection and hospitalization is still a lot less for fully vaccinated individuals than those who are unvaccinated.
Aiming to raise the percentage of vaccinated people, Iraq Health Access Organization mobile teams, with support from UNFPA and funding from ECHO, continue their awareness raising campaigns in Ninewa, Kirkuk, Salahdin, and Anbar governorates, to mitigate the effect of the new variant in Iraq.
