A steering committee meeting occurred last week, discussing the AWD Project and their youth centers, in which representatives from different organizations attended, including; UNFPA – Iraq, the Finnish Mission in Iraq, Iraq Health Access Organization, IADO, Directorate of Youth in Ninewa, as well as a representative of youth with disabilities in Nineveh.
During the meeting, they discussed the success of the project and the achievements they accomplished by spreading awareness, including PWD and their participation in sports events and life skills training, and talking about ways to improve the project and reach the largest possible number of people with disabilities.
