International Expert on Youth, Ms. Rana Haddad, visits the adolescents with disabilities (AWD) empowerment project in Ninewa, accompanied by a delegation from UNFPA. Ms. Rana visited the governmental directorates involved with the project, including Labour and Social Affairs, Youth and Sports, and Education, where she met with the officials of the respective directorates. The expert then visited the three youth centres of the project, Al-Hadbaa, Qush, and Bartella, and met with the centres’ directors and staff, as well as focus groups of AWDs with their parents, in preparation to write the operation procedures for the project.
The AWD empowerment project is being implemented by IHAO, in collaboration with IADO, with support from UNFPA, and funding from the Finnish Embassy.
