Based on the principle of “Leaving No One Behind” and under the slogan of inclusivity and empowerment, which is an essential part of the process of rebuilding a healthy Iraqi society. Bartla AWD Center has taken its first steps towards achieving the inclusion and empowerment of young girls with disabilities, with the support of the UNFPA – Iraq and funding from Embassy of Finland in Baghdad – Suomen suurlähetystö Bagdad. The young girls faced difficulty in accessing the center to receive the provided services. To ensure that the services are available to all who need them, a car has been provided to transport girls with disabilities to and from the center, thereby ensuring their access to the center’s programs and activities without obstacles.
Fostering an environment where diversity is celebrated, we aim to create a seamless and supportive journey for the young girls, ensuring they can participate in our educational workshops, and sports activities.
