The mobile teams of Bartla, Al-Hadbaa, Al-Qosh recently visited the neighborhoods around, to spread awareness about the youth center for adolescents with disabilities. This visit was part of a larger initiative to ensure that people with disabilities have access to the same resources and opportunities as everyone else.
The team focused on informing locals about the services available at IHAO’s youth center, which is supported by UNFPA Iraq – صندوق الأمم المتحدة للسكان العراق, funded by Embassy of Finland in Baghdad – Suomen suurlähetystö Bagdad, and in partnership with تجمع المعوقين في العراق (Iraqi Alliance For Disability). These services include providing educational and recreational activities, and mental health support. Through these constant visits, they hope to raise awareness about the importance of creating an inclusive society for all individuals regardless of their abilities.
