As part of providing psychological support, social empowerment and life skills development for women. Iraq Health Access Organization, with support from the UNFPA – Iraq and funding from Sweden, provides life skills development training for women and adolescent girls in societies where women face many challenges to exercise their rights.
In September, trainings were conducted at Laylan – Kirkuk Center for Gender-Based Violence, where they started their training on the toolkit course. This course will help them not only to overcome life’s pressures, but also psychological and social comfort by building new friendships with women in the same community, and enhance self-confidence by mastering new skills and making decisions.
In addition to these trainings, the teams specialized in combating gender-based violence at Laylan Center continue to spread their services (psychosocial support – prevention of gender-based violence – awareness of various topics …) for community members.
