Last week, IHAO community mobilization teams headed to hard-to-access areas in Anbar governorate, including Al-Malali, Al-Janabyeen, Albu-Aysa, Al-Zaghareet villages, to spread awareness about COVID-19 and vaccinate its residents.
In these areas, which lie about 100 kilometers from the city of Fallujah, there are no vaccination outlets, and their residents have not taken the vaccine due to difficulty of access. IHAO coordinated with Garma and Fallujah health sectors to visit these areas accompanied by vaccination teams, and during just one visit, more than 115 people were vaccinated.
To better protect our community against COVID-19, IHAO works to guarantee access to vaccination for all, supported by UNFPA, funded by ECHO, and in coordination with the directorates of health.
