Meeting with Kirkuk Office of the Iraqi High Commission for Human Rights

On April 18th 2021, the Kirkuk Office of the Iraqi High Commission for Human Rights, in the presence of the Director of the Office of the Iraqi High Commission for Human Rights, the Director General of Kirkuk Health Directorate, the Director of the Public Health Division, and the Director of the Mental Health Division, welcomed Iraq Health Access Organization represented by Ms. Hala Al-Saraf, the executive director, and Dr. Hayder Ali, the head of programs, for a joint meeting, where the importance of cooperation between all parties was stressed, especially civil society organizations, to limit the spread of COVID-19 Pandemic. The Director of the Kirkuk Office of the High Commission for Human Rights and the Director General of the Kirkuk Health Department stated that they are fully prepared to cooperate with all parties to improve healthcare in the governorate. Ms. Hala Al-Sarraf touched on the activity of the Al-Iraqi Health Organization in the Kirkuk governorate in Al-Hawija district and Riyadh sub-district, where IHAO staff provides reproductive and primary healthcare services and works on raising public awareness about Covid-19 disease and its risks.
